WHAT IS A PUTAWAY STRATEGY?
Overview
A good warehouse implementation takes care that products automatically move to their appropriate destination location. Putaway is the process of taking products off the receiving shipment and put them into the most appropriate location.
If for instance a warehouse contains volatile substances, it is important to make sure that certain products are not stored close to each other because of a potential chemical reaction.
A putaway strategy follows the same principle as removal strategies but affect on the destination location. Put away strategies are defined at the location level (unlike removal strategies which are defined at the product level).
Configuration
Go to Inventory ‣ Configuration ‣ Settings and check option Manage several location per warehouse & Advance routing of products using rules, then click on Apply.

Setting up a strategy
Let's take as an example a retail shop where we store vegetables and fruits.
We have to store this type of product in different locations to maintain product quality.
Suppose there is one warehouse location WH/Stock and there is sub location WH/Stock/Vegetables & WH/Stock/Fruits.
You can create a put away strategy from Inventory ‣ Configuration ‣ Locations. Open any location where you want to set a put away strategy, click on Edit and locate the option Put Away Strategy.

Sau đó, cuộn xuống và nhấp vào Tạo và Chính sửa (Create and Edit). Khi đó biểu mẫu Chiến lược xác định vị trí sẽ mở ra, bạn phải đặt tên cụ thể cho chiến lược và cài đặt phương pháp cũng như vị trí cố định cho từng loại sản phẩm vào đó.

Khi bạn đã nhập tất cả các thông tin cần thiết, hãy nhấp chọn Lưu (Save).
Bây giờ bạn có thể mua bán sản phẩm từ tất cả các loại hàng, sản phẩm sẽ tự động được chuyển đến vị trí cần.
Để kiểm tra hàng tồn kho tính đến thời điểm hiện tại, vào Hàng tồn kho (Inventory) ‣ Kiểm soát hàng tồn kho (Inventory Control) ‣ Hàng tồn kho hiện tại (Current Inventory).
Khi đó bạn có thể thấy hàng tồn tính đến thời điểm hiện tại theo từng vị trí.
